School started
Yep, that's right, I'm here for school, not for fun. Or, wait, am I? Classes were to say the least, interesting. My Multivariable Calculus class was something else. I was the only caucasian, and exchange student not from China. There was another student from mainland china, and I talked with him for a bit afterwards about the different symbols and terms they used instead of what we were used to. Also, everyone in the class is all first year students. They teach everything i've learned about math in college, in high school here. Oh well, i'm a third year student, but i'm from America, and am supposed to be taking classes not for me. Very similar to math was my geology. I am the only exchange student in the class. But, at least for geology, I know everything that we went over today, and it seems like I'll know everything for the whole semester. I might end up dropping it, since I was just going to take it for the field trips we would go on. However, I found out that the field trips are an all day thing and on saturdays. I figure there could be something else I want to do instead of wasting those three saturdays walking around Hong Kong and looking at rocks. I know danielle would love that, but it's just not for me. I'll first see how my last two classes are tomorrow, and then i'll make up my mind about Geology. Oh, and I realize now, that all Geology professors are geeks, not just from the US.
I'm finally catching up on all the sleep i've missed this whole summer. My earliest class right now is 10 on monday's, but that's it. If I drop the geology however, my earliest will be 1pm. Wow, it will be so much more sleep compared to waking up at 4/5ish every day this summer. How nice.
Update on the last two days: went to Causeway Bay Wednesday with Luke, Liz, Jack, Serena, Nancy, Sungi and Terry, where we ate at a japanese restaurant, and where I also found a phone. Good price, and that's all I was looking for. Yesterday, went to Mong Kok(where I was Sunday) with Luke, Liz, A, and Bounmee, two other UofM students, and they all found phones. Now we can all talk to each other, yay!!!! Well, that's about it for this blog. Running out of info to write on. Hopefully I'll start taking more pictures so then I can just post like crazy. I don't know, we'll see. Sometimes i just forget about it. Talk to you all later.
